PAYING ATTENTION FOR THE HOLIDAYS

I am cleaning and re-cleaning where I just cleaned yesterday.  A houseful of holiday guests requires cleaning and cooking.  Rinse, repeat.  Even when everyone is out of the house, I clean, sweep, rearrange.  If I stop to write a sentence, do I feel guilty?  Does a cluttered kitchen table call to me?  The Zen saying, just chop wood, remains in my head.  Be present even when you are washing dishes.  Are the holidays an excuse not to create?  Or has creativity temporarily taken a different form?
