With the oldest it's 'Momma' sometimes Mom, the youngest has regulated me to the formal 'Mother.' The only girl uses mostly 'Mom' and affectionately 'Mommy.' The other son who often likes to think he is an only child, tried me with 'Ma' which I officially and unwaveringly banned.
It's each siblings way of carving out a unique lexicon; saying: hey, I'm an individual over here.
