SEINFELD MAY BE HELPFUL





On Thursday, I posted about doing one thing for ten minutes every day.  Here's a method developed by a number of productivity gurus over the years called 'don't break the chain' and made popular by this site.


This habit calendar is simple, easy, very low tech.  What could be better for ensuring that it's used?




  • Get a big wall calendar that has a whole year on one page and hang it on a prominent wall. 
  • Get a big red magic marker.
  • For each day you complete the task, put a big red "X" over that day. 

That's it.  After a few days you'll have a chain and you will see it grow longer every day. Visual is good.  After a few weeks, your only job is to not break the chain!
